Manticore

Manticores are herbivores with long head shields and a sword-like or mace-like weapon at the ends of their tails. Manticores are a rowdy bunch of natural fighters and frequently engage in brawls.

The facial features and superficial ornamental features of the female Manticores tend to be less jagged, and more rounded, than what is found on the males. Though not a significant difference in natural weaponry, the females have a "softer" appearance.

The Manticore languages tend to sound deep and monotone, using simple syllables combined with complex body gestures, using natural weapons as communication tools. They tend to move when they are speaking, strutting around, turning their heads from side to side to get different views of who ever they are speaking to. Heavily influenced by the their natural competitive tendencies, the Manticore languages tend to have an authoritive and inferior voice, with the authoritive voice being more beligerent, and the inferior voice being more submissive.
