Abaddon

Abaddon is a star system with many inhabited worlds. Many of the worlds are artificial structures, while others are natural planets and moons. This star system is named after its only star, Abaddon.

Technology is not evenly distributed in Abaddon for historical and cultural reasons as well as practical reasons (like the tendency of advanced technology to trigger horrible cataclysms.) Throughout history the intelligent species of Abaddon have been developing advanced cultures and having them collapse suddenly or disintegrate and degenerate.

When navigating in Abaddon, the sun is always Down, the direction of the sun's rotation and planetary orbits is Forward, and the north/south axis is called Left and Right. (Local magnetic poles vary but the sun is a relatively stable reference.)
